The Idea
behind the

The first idea to found an institution, which should foster the cooperation between arab and european countries and help poor arab countries, was born in Bahrain.
In 2004 the Grand Decoration of Honour for services to the Republic of Austria in recognition of Contribution in Nephrology and Transplantation and promotion of Cooperation between Arab Countries and Austria was handed over to Faissal Shaheen,
MD.. In the course of this celebration the decision was made to found the AEF- Arab European Foundation.
